Sunday's Card

Today I made this lovely card for several challenges! First off I chose my sketch of the day (from Mojo Monday):
Over at Paper Craft Planet, Crafty Secrets is having a "fall colors" challenge. So, I pulled out some autumn colored card stock (Die Cuts with a View solid colors and Basic Grey patterned) and got to work (or play)! The image is, of course, from Crafty Secrets. I got it just this week and thought I should have a little fun with it! I embossed my image to participate in the Basic Grey Challenges of the week, "Embossing", I added the little heart charm (I used alcohol ink on it) to qualify for the Dutch Dare Card Challenges challenge of the week, "So Charming," and did plenty of sewing to participate in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog's challenge, "Stitch It Up". I really enjoyed making this card and hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

Sweet Thing

I used the sketch that Just Magnolia has up for a challenge this week. I really liked this one a lot!
I also participated in the "Stitches" challenge over at Roses on Paper. Thanks for the great challenges, ladies!

Make a Wish

"Flower Power!" is the challenge this week on Charisma Cardz. The flower needed to be the main feature, so that's what I started with. I picked out some Petaloo flowers I liked first thing, then chose my Die Cuts With a View paper based on the color of the flower. "Lace and Pearls" is the challenge over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, so I got out my lacy-looking Martha Stewart punch to add some lace, some self adhering pearls, and a cute Penny Black hedgehog. What do you think? Did it turn out okay? :)

Bella's Birthday Car

First off I picked the sketch and image to participate in this week's Bloggabella challenge! Here's the cute, simple sketch:
Dutch Dare had a color inspiration challenge this week, which was fun to use:

The wallpaper behind the flower reminded me right away of some paper I had, so I dug through my paper collection and found it! I was glad to be able to use something I had had in my collection for awhile.

I distressed the paper edges to qualify for the Cupcake Craft Challenge this week, "Distressing Techniques". Then, I embossed the green strip of paper with my Cuttlebug folder to participate in the Cute Daisy May's, "Textures" challenge. The recipe I followed today came from Artful Inkables challenge, "1 image, 2 ribbons, 3 layers, and scallops".

Snug as Bugs

I made this cute little card for my sister, Mariah. She just moved into her first, very own apartment (she's 18) and I wanted to make her a little "congratulations on your new home" type card. I thought this image from Crafty Secrets was perfect for this card with it's cute little, "Snug as Bugs" sign on the little bug home. I got the layout from the Mojo Monday challenge blog:
I used the fun recipe from Simon Says Challenge Blog, "3 embellishments, 2 papers, and 1 image". Then, I decided to look through my Basic Grey paper to see what looked most like the picture Basic Grey Challenges posted for inspiration:

Can you see any resemblance? It may have turned out looking like the picture a bit more if I had color ink in my printer to print it out with. My craft area isn't close to my computer, so I had to just go by memory. :)

Next, I wanted to make sure to include some pearls (embellishments) and swirls (pattern on the Basic Grey paper) to qualify for the Cupcake Craft Challenges challenge of the week, "Pearls & Swirls"! It was fun participating in all of these challenges today! Thanks for looking!

Black and Neon Green

I had fun making this card! I've never been very fond of neon green, but after seeing some of the ideas the design team came up with on the Colour Create challenge blog I decided to take a shot at their "Neon Green and Black" challenge! I think it turned out pretty good, what do you think? Then on the Stamp Something Challenge Blog their challenge was to use your favorite embellishment. I love flowers. I think they're my favorite. I have a whole, big shelf of them - I figure that makes them my favorite! I also love buttons, ribbon, and brads; so it was hard to choose one, but I think I have to put flowers at the top of my list. :)

I used The Angel Company stamps to make that patterned paper.

Just a Note... For You!

Here's a cute little card I made for my mom today. I used the pink and green colors to qualify for the Strawberry Mint Julep challenge over at Cute Card Thursday! :o)

Not My Finest Hour...

Due to an upset baby and a bout with mastitis, I didn't get to put as much time into these challenges as I would have liked and am not completely happy with my outcome. Here's the cute sketch I used from the Just Christmas and Birthday Cards blog:

I also participated in the "red, white & blue" challenge they're having over at Cupcake Craft Challenge!

Summer Birthday

My friend, Kate, who is a Creative Memories consultant, is trading me a wedding album for 25 cards, so I've been working on those cards for awhile now. This is one of the cards I made for her. :)

I used my Creative Memories circle punch to get those circles. That cute little mouse is a Penny Black stamp and the "Happy Birthday" is a single stamp I split up by only inking one word for each circle from The Angel Company. Currently my favorite way to color images is with my Prismacolor pencils blended with gamsel. The paper is Die Cuts With a View, the flowers and button are items I picked up from my local scrapbook store - I don't remember the brands, and the ribbon is from JoAnn Fabric.

Farm Girl

Today's card was made with inspiration from Truly Scrumptious and ABC Challenge. Truly Scrumptious had a sketch challenge and "Indian Summer" theme this week that I wanted to give a try. When I think of Indian summer I always think of a golden yellow, so I made sure to use a somewhat summery stamp and some golden yellow cardstock. Here's the sketch from Truly Scrumptious:

ABC Challenge this week had a, "D is for Die Cuts" challenge, so (of course) I used my Nestabilities in my Sizzix machine! I love those Nestabilities!

Here's another card I made recently using the same Greeting Farm stamp as the card above:

I Love You

I used a cute little Penny Black puppy and "I love you" stamp on this card, Prima flowers, Die Cuts With a View cardstock (the patterned piece), and I'm not sure what brand names the solid pieces are. The cool sketch I used this time is from Simon Says:

I used the theme, "Hearts Desire" from the Penny Black Challenge Blog and chose to use the colors "ruby, cream, and gold" due to Colour Create Challenge blog!

Back to School

To make this card I followed the Lili of the Valley challenge #35; this sketch:

I really enjoyed this sketch! I definitely wouldn't have come up with this exact layout without the sketch.

I also participated in the recipe challenge they have at Cupcake Craft Challenge this week. They wanted everyone to use 3 buttons, 2 papers (I used two patterned pieces in my card), and 1 ribbon. That was a lot of fun. I don't think I would have added the 3rd button near the sentiment without this challenge!

The 3rd challenge I participated in was over at Cute Card Thursday. Their challenge of the week was the "Back to School" theme. I was glad to have the motivation to try a "Back to School" card. Without the challenge I may have never made a card for that! It caused me to use paper I may never have used otherwise, too, which was fun. :)

A Spoon Full of Sugar blog is hosting a "distressing" challenge this week, so I inked the edges of all the papers except the black to participate in this challenge! It's a lot of fun challenging myself to incorporate so many challenge into one card! :)
