Here's a card I made for Papertake Weekly's challenge, "Spots 'n' Stripes" and Simon Says Stamp Challenge, "All That Sparkles". I stamped "Get Well" on the inside and sent it off to my sister today (she has the swine flu). I colored this Gorjuss Girl with Copics. It was the first time I've ever used Copic markers and I must say... I LOVE them! This is not exactly an affordable addiction, ladies! How do you get enough colors? I'm totally sold, though, and where there is a will, there is a way. Eventually I will have a collection of these wonderful markers.
Thanks for looking! :)

Another Little Purse
Here's a little purse I made for the DP2 Challenge, "Anything But a Card". I used Mo's adorable Shire image. I didn't do it justice with my coloring job today, but you'll be seeing more projects with this image again soon! :)
Thanks for looking! :)

Purse
Here's a little paper purse I made last night. I think I'm either going to add some of those Emergen-C packets or tea bags in it and send it to someone as a "Get Well" gift or just a "Thinking of You" gift. It has a Velcro closure on it underneath that beautiful black brad. That way it can be reused many times. :) I used the little My Favorite Things image on it to participate in the "So You Think You Can Stamp" challenge this week over at Splitcoast.

Encouraging Words
Today I decided to play along with Verve Stamps challenge, "Encouraging Words". I made my main focus encouraging! It's a stamp from The Angel Company. I made this fun layout with Die Cuts With a View card stock. Isn't all that glitter fun? I made the flower with a punch I have... the brand name is escaping me right now and added that cute Basic Grey orange button to top it all off. I used my classic rectangle Nestabilities underneath the encouraging words. With those scallops I can definitely participate in the fun over at Creative Card Crew Challenge blog. Their challenge this week is, "Scallops". Well, that's all for now! Thanks for looking. :)

Forever Young
List of challenges used for this card:
Cute Daisy May - Fairy-nuff
Splendid Stamping With the Greeting Farm (Farm Fresh Fridays) - Sketch
Just Us Girls - Paper Piecing (I paper pieced both the fairy's outfit as well as Peter Pan's)
Whimsy Stamps Challenges - Get Punchy

Just Us Girls - Paper Piecing (I paper pieced both the fairy's outfit as well as Peter Pan's)
Whimsy Stamps Challenges - Get Punchy
This card is a big one! I wanted to try a big 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" card, but decided after making this that I don't like working with the big rectangle cards. At least not quite that big! There's just too much space to fill! Maybe it would work better with different layouts, I'm not sure. Anyway, I used the fun stamps from a set called "Never Ever" made by The Greeting Farm, paper from Die Cuts With a View and K&Company, some hemp for my bows, and just some brads I got from JoAnn Fabrics. What do you think? Did it turn out all right? (You gals make my day each time you comment and I've been meaning to say, "Thank you!") :)

I'm Not Lion...
This card I made using Sketch Saturday's sketch challenge this week:
I hope it's okay I used an oval shape instead of a circle for the sentiment!
The second challenge I chose today is over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps blog, "Let's Go Green" where you have to use something recycled. That little charm on my card came from my 4-year-old daughter's necklace - she accidentally broke it last week. And, of course, I used Leo, a High Hopes stamp, as my main feature!
Over at Stamp Something they're having a challenge, "Brown Plus Something". I hope coloring Leo with some yellow didn't disqualify me! A lion without any shade of yellow just wouldn't seem right! I chose pink to go with my brown. I love pink and brown together! Plus, I thought it would go well with the little heart charm theme!
My Fourth challenge met today is "Buttons & Stitching" from Cupcake Craft Challenges. I love both buttons and machine stitching, so I was glad to have an excuse to do both on this card! :)
What do you think? Did it all combine well? :o)

Gorjuss Peace on Earth
Can you tell I have just one Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl image? :o) This is a card I made for The Sugar Bowl challenge Christmas theme and sketch:
I used pink for my main color instead of the classic Christmas colors to participate in the Cute Daisy May challenge this week, "Pink Christmas". I used all Die Cuts With a View paper. I thought this card fit in great with the, "A Christmas Card for a Child" challenge over at Lili of the Valley since I had a little Gorjuss Girl on my card. Also, I added the cute little bells to play along with Winter Wonderland's challenge, "Sleigh Bells Ring". The little "peace on earth" stamp is from The Angel Company. Thanks for looking! By the way, I LOVE comments! :o) Thank you to all you gals to comment on my cards - it means a lot to me!

Thanks a Bunch
Over at the new Mo's Challenge Blog they're having their very first challenge: to use purple in your card. So, of course I had to participate! I'm a new fan of Mo's art. I don't actually have any of her digital stamps (except for the free downloads she offers), but I do plan on getting some in the future! Or maybe I'll get some of the stamps I heard she's coming out with. Anyway, as you can see, I used plenty of purple on my card!
I added the charm to qualify for the Cute Card Thursday challenge, "So Charming" and the little "Thanks a Bunch" stamp (from Crafty Secrets) to join in the fun over at Cupcake Craft Challenges. Cupcake's challenge this week is called, "Thanks a Bunch". What do you think? Did it turn out okay? Besides my crooked photo, that is! :o)

Sugar Nellie Challenge
Here's a quick card I made for The Sugar Bowl sketch challenge:
I used the "Little Bird Told Me..." Gorjuss Girl stamp. Isn't she darling? I just love the Gorjuss Girl stamps! I used K&Company patterned paper, Die Cuts With a View solid colored card stock, and Prima flowers. I colored in the image with my Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. Thanks for looking! :)

World Card Making Day Continued
Since I didn't get all of the card making done that I had planned yesterday, I finished up today. I got an unusually long crafty day today! With having four children 6 and under, I don't often find long periods of time to "play", so I found it truly amazing that I got to make cards from morning till 5 PM today. I did take meal breaks, of course, but still! It was about 5-6 hours of fun time! Anyway, onto the cards themselves... These cards were inspired by SCS World Card Making Day challenges.
I LOVE Gorjuss Girls stamps. I wish I had some! In case you're not familiar with Gorjuss Girl art, that lovely little stamp on my pink, black, and white card is a Gorjuss Girl (stamped image). A lovely gal on SCS traded stamped images with me and one of the ones she sent me was the one above. The little Gorjuss Girl makes me think of my sister, Kara. I'm not exactly sure why, but I think it may be the tights - Kara had a pair tights kind of like that when we were kids. So, I'm going to send this little "Thinking of You" card to her. :)
The stamps I used on this Thanksgiving card are from Close to My Heart. When I saw this set, I knew I had to have it. Not only are there those adorable pilgrim children in it, but there are also Native American children, a turkey, and a few others things in it. It's such a cute set!
This cute, Christmas card with that adorable little Penny Black hedgehog on the front was made to participate in a few SCS challenges as well as A Spoon Full of Sugar's "Christmas" challenge and Artful Inkables' "Something That Sparkles" challenges.
I used another adorable Penny Black stamp on this "Thank You" card. A good friend of mine got me this this new Micey Day clear stamp set for my birthday. I simply LOVE it!
I had poor lighting when I took the photo of this card. It has been so overcast here the past couple of days - it's hard to get a good photo sometimes! The image on this one is a "My Favorite Things" digital stamp. They were giving it away free to those entering their challenge on SCS this weekend. I thought that was real sweet of them! Anyway, this card looks far more "warm" in person.
That's all for now. What do you think of them? I love comments. :)

World Card Making Day Challenges
Today is World Card Making Day and I started off my day by making a card! Now if only I could get around to doing a few more. :) I used Mojo Monday's sketch of the week:
Over at Splitcoast Stampers there are all sorts of challenges today! I decided to enter Crafty Secret's challenge, "Make it Pop" (I put several 3D embellishments) and Unity Stamp Company's "Quote" challenges from SCS. I used a quote from a Crafty Secret stamp set I have. That would be considered a quote, right? Then, I participated in Cute Daisy May's recipe challenge, "1 ribbon, 2 buttons, & 3 flowers". Over at Papertake Weekly they're having a challenge called, "Black and White + 1". The rule is, "excluding skin and hair, you must use black and white and you can choose one more colour to work with". So, that's what I did. I used that turquoise color as my chosen color. And as if that wasn't enough, I added a bug on my card to play along with Cupcake Craft Challenges challenge of the week, "Cute as a Bug". What do you think? Did it turn out all right?
